NetEffects Friends and Family Create Cookbook Benefitting Direct Relief International
If you need to add some spice to your summer cooking then it’s time to buy the Cooking Around the World NetEffects’ cookbook and help Direct Relief International.
In looking for new ways to support its extensive corporate charity commitment, NetEffects, has hit upon a unique idea that takes advantage of the cultural diversity of its more than 200 consultants and numerous clients. According to Michelle Zipfel, Philanthropy Chairperson, the firm solicited recipes from consultants, clients, friends and families and created the Cooking Around the World NetEffects’ cookbook. All of the proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go to Direct Relief International.
“The cookbook truly represents the diversity of our company,” Zipfel said, “It includes 91 unique recipes from around the world.”
Forbes Magazine has consistently recognized Direct Relief International as one of only eight nonprofit organizations in the United States that is 100% efficient in fundraising. They provide medical material aid including medicines, medical supplies and equipment to strengthen in-country health efforts around the world to improve the quality of life for the most impoverished people.
NetEffects’ corporate policy is to adopt at least one charity a quarter and raise funds to help it accomplish its mission. Zipfel, as Philanthropy Chairperson, is responsible for the firm’s charitable efforts.
Last year NetEffects completed work for numerous charitable programs, raising more than $50,000 and donating hundreds of people-hours to work on special projects. The firm encourages its staff, consultants and clients to join in for worthwhile causes and have a lot of fun doing it.
