Spring is finally here! To mark the first day of spring below are some weekend ideas that will help everyone thaw out and prepare for warmer weather.
Friday and Saturday March 22nd and 23rd - Schlafly Stout & Oyster Festival at the Schlafly Tap Room
Touted as the “Largest Oyster-Fest in the Midwest” this free event will include 15+ Schlafly stout favorites (with exclusive festival-only styles) and 80,000+ fresh oysters from the east and west coasts. All Weekend - World Outdoor Emporium and Wild Birds Unlimited
What better way to welcome spring than to beautify your outdoor space. We suggest visiting the World Outdoor Emporium (two locations one in St. Charles and the other in Wentzville) to peruse their immense selection of landscaping, greenery and statues. You probably know the World Outdoor Emporium as the cool place with all the statues that you can see from the Page Extension near Jungerman! For more information, including hours: https://woe.rocks/
If relaxing outside with a nice drink while enjoying the sounds of birds chirping is your idea of weekend fun, then check out Wild Birds Unlimited. Not only will you be able to get your feeders, food and tips on “birdscaping”, but Wild Birds Unlimited sponsors regular bird walks and special educational events. All Weekend - Sea Lion Spring Training at the St. Louis Zoo
“The sea lions have all reported to spring training at Sea Lion Sound, and you're invited to cheer them on from the bleachers. Fans can observe the animals working on new behaviors with their trainers at this sneak peek into the show season. Showtimes are at 1pm and 2:30 p.m., March 16-29. Tickets are $2 per person and available 45 minutes prior to showtime. Children under 2 years old are free. For more information, visit https://www.stlzoo.org/visit/thingstoseeanddo/
