Standard Resume offers users the ability to build a resume that works every where; it can be viewed on a mobile or desktop browser, or downloaded as a print-ready PDF. It’s designed to make your content stand out and offers a clean overall layout. The tool itself is easy and straightforward to use. We tested it, and was able to kick out an attractive resume in about 30 minutes. You could easily get one done in less time, if you already have content ready to plug in.

I Need a Resume

Can we just gush about this fantastic tool for a second? Created by Mitch Samuels, I Need a Resume puts an end to resume procrastination. It is a cinch to use this tool and took us only 15 minutes to craft an eye-catching resume. There are lots of themes/style to choose from and users can download their document as a PDF or, print it off directly from their web browser. As an added bonus, they also offer matching cover letter themes to go with your nice, sleek, new resume.

Hack My Resume

This one is for all of the coders out there, or, just folks who are looking for a good way to stand out to the right audience. This tool totes itself as the “Swiss army knife” for resumes, and it’s not hard to see why. The tool works seamlessly on Windows, OSX, Linux, and node.JS You can use their themes, or build one of your own. If you’re a fan of command line, you’ll love this tool. If you aren’t, you can always check out their other tool, FluentCV Desktop. We had a software guru try this tool out and he had whipped up a fine resume in less time than it takes to brew a pot of coffee.

Creddle

Creddle offers users a lot of pluses with their tool. Resumes are easy to build, fully customizable, files can be exported in multiple formats, offers automatic one page fit (a HUGE plus!) and did we mention it’s completely free? Yeah. Suffice to say, we were impressed with this tool. Start to finish, we were able to kick out a new resume from scratch in under 45 minutes. Keep in mind, we were building the content from the ground up, so if you already have a ready and just need to make a few tweaks, you could easily accomplish your task in under 20 minutes.
